On about February 5, an email was sent out to rescue groups that was a plea to help a young female hound being left chained up in her yard. The message said she was emaciated and possibly had pups. We answered that email and said we'd take her, and on February 8, we received Daisy.
In April 2013 we received an email alert that there were a lot of puppies in the shelters that were going to be euthanized. We put our word out saying we could take 8 of them. Arrangements were made to transport them up to us.
We attended the first annual Pronghorn Ranch Community Craft Show and Family Fun Day Saturday, May 25, and it was a great day. This was quite the event with handcrafted jewelry, pottery, woodwork, art, housewares, quilts, rustic items and baked goods.

Woofstock 2013 in Prescott Valley, May 19, drew a large crowd of dog owners, prospective dog owners and overall animal lovers. Woofstock is an annual gathering of area rescue organizations and supporters who want to make the community aware of animals in need and showcase all sizes, shapes and breeds of dogs ready for adoption.
Gomez - Gomez has been with Lance for about four weeks and is doing well. Lance's 10-year-old grandson considers Gomez his dog, and he walks him and feeds him and they sleep together—every 10-year-old boy should have a dog.
Emma - Charles told me that Emma and their other dog, Buddy, get along well. Both dogs sleep in their small beds on top of their owners' bed, and they eat side by side with no problem.
